Westchester County and I are hosting events for the 4Q2007 NEA Big Read initiative

Ready your reading corner! Polish your spectacles! Get ready to get your read on!  America's gearing up to participate in the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Fall-Winter 2007 BIG READ initiative.

Westchester County's BIG READ book selection for September-December this year is Zora Neale Hurston's novel, Their Eyes Were Watching God. Some associated BIG READ activities afoot in Westchester are posted at the Westchester Arts Council's BIG READ page.

However, there's more in store.

For example, the Westchester Library System has commissioned me to produce and host radio programming featuring guests and topics relevant to Ms. Hurston and her writing. I'll be teaming up with a guest roster worth writing home about to inform, instruct, intrigue and inspire listeners and readers.
